Cucu added that in this training, participants are given material on the theory and practice of batik making, starting from making patterns, using canting, and other stages.
"Demonstration facilities for participants have been prepared by the committee. Hopefully as a result of this training the participants will have new skills in the field of batik," Cucu added.
According to Cucu, after four days of training, participants were increasingly enthusiastic about participating in the training stages. It is hoped that through this training, batik can develop widely in society and the environment.
"Making batik does require patience and precision. Hopefully this will provide new opportunities to increase their family's income," Cucu hoped.
Meanwhile, one of the participants, Lety (44), admitted happy to get knowledge and able to make batik.
"I was taught everything from making patterns or motifs, canting to determining colors. I came to understand that making hand-drawn batik is not easy, it requires patience and skill, so it is natural that the selling value is high," she stated.
