The Jakarta Education Agency (Disdik) is committed to increasing access to education and learning opportunities at State Universities (PTN) or Private Universities (PTS) for students who have academic potential but are economically disadvantaged.
KJMU program is widely open to the people of Jakarta with applicable provisions
Jakarta Disdik Acting Head, Budi Awaluddin said this effort was realized through the Jakarta Excellent Student Card (KJMU) program while maintaining the posture of the regional budget so that it was right on target.
"KJMU program is widely open to the people of Jakarta with applicable provisions. Hopefully, the children who receive the benefits of this card can use it well and not abuse it because this is the mandate given by the Jakarta Government for the future of the nation's children to be more prosperous," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta Government's press release, Wednesday (7/3).
KJMU to Be Disbursed Lately Tomorrow!Further, KJMU would fail if the recipient carried out activities such as online gambling, brawls, and drugs, moved his domicile abroad, changed study programs and universities, and did not reach the social study program's Cumulative Achievement Index (GPA) target of at least 3.0 and GPA for exact sciences at least 2.75.
"The instruments used to determine prospective recipients are GPA below standard, having graduated, passing the 10-semester study limit, having assets above one billion, owning a four-wheeled vehicle, not being registered in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS), as well as through matching Disdukcapil," he explained.
Here are the general requirements for recipients of educational quality improvement assistance through KJMU:
1. Domiciled and have a Jakarta Resident Identity Card and Family Card
2. Registered in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS), Regional Social Welfare Integrated Data, and/or residents assisted by Jakarta Social Agency social institutions
2. Terdaftar dalam Data Terpadu Kesejahteraan Sosial (DTKS), Data Terpadu Kesejahteraan Sosial Daerah dan/atau warga binaan panti sosial Dinsos Jakarta
The Jakarta Education Agency (Disdik) ensures that the distribution of KJMU is right on target through synergy with several regional agencies in Jakarta, such as the Development Planning Board (Bappeda), Social Agency, Empowerment, Child Protection and Population Control Agency (DPPAPP), and Population and Registration Service Civil Agency (Disdukcapil).
"We congratulate the recipients of KJMU Phase I 2024. Don't waste the opportunity to study by doing things that are detrimental to yourself and your family at home. Our job is only to support and facilitate, but the success and progress of the nation is in the hands of the current generation and it needs to be achieved with hard work," he uttered.
