50 Hearing Aids Distributed to 10 Sub-districts in South Jakarta

The South Jakarta Social Agency has distributed hearing aids to 50 targeted beneficiaries from disadvantaged families in 10 sub-districts.

According to Bernard Tambunan, Head of South Jakarta Social Agency, distributing physical aids is an effort to help people with disabilities carry out activities more easily.

"We send them 50 hearing aids. We also help install the aids for them," he expressed, Friday (7/19).

Dinsos Distributes 1,211 Physical Aids to People with Disabilities

He explained other residents who need other physical aids such as wheelchairs, tripods, and so on can directly apply to the Social Implementation Unit (Satpel) in their respective sub-districts.

"For members of the public, please submit, our team will visit the location to ensure the distribution of aid is right on target," he explained.

One of the residents from Pengadegan Urban Village, Herwandi (54), admitted that he was very grateful for being given the hearing aid and felt the government's presence in helping its residents.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), I'm so happy I can hear normally again. May everyone be blessed for helping the underprivileged," he stated.
