The Jakarta Library and Archives Agency (Dispusip) synergizes with Dian Nusantara University (Undira) to hold a seminar to increase the role of university libraries in the digitalization era.

The seminar with the theme, 'Opportunities and Challenges of Libraries as a Door to Access All Knowledge in the Digital Era and Society 5.0' was held at the Undira Campus, Tanjung Duren, West Jakarta, some time ago.

Jakarta Dispusip Head, Firmansyah said the university libraries have an important function and role as educational institutions that produce the nation's future generations.

"Therefore, libraries as a part of supporting the vision and mission of higher education are expected to have a strong impact," he expressed, Monday (7/22).

According to him, digitalization is a real era that is happening. Libraries must have good adaptability to capture potential opportunities.

"Then also to anticipate challenges that might occur, as the pattern of digital-based and increasingly personalized user needs changes," he explained.

He also appreciated Undira for continuing to strive to improve the quality and capacity of libraries through synergy with Dispusip.

"This seminar shows the attention of the Undira library in equipping students to later be able to contribute to Jakarta's progress as a global city," he explained.

He hoped that university libraries have increasingly better adaptability in the dynamic era of digitalization.

"Thereby, it can develop according to the needs of the users, namely the academic community at each university," he added.

As for the information, the seminar presented speakers, namely Jakarta Indonesian Higher Education Library Forum Chair, Irma Irawati; Associate Expert Librarian at the National Library, Deine Pangalila and Deputy Chancellor I for Academic Affairs at Dian Nusantara University, Margono Sugeng.
