Kemayoran Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit Head, Supriyadi stated the normalization was conducted by replacing the damaged channel's sheet pile due to being covered by illegal buildings and collecting mud.

Kemayoran Urban Village Economy and Development Section Head, Rusli Syarifudin added that today's normalization was also aimed to support regional planning in his area.
He admitted residents had agreed that after normalization was completed no one would use this channel area for trading or illegal parking.
"The next step is arrangement. We will provide lighting, asphalting, greening, and murals. Hopefully, residents care and can take care of it," he stated.
