This was done to ensure that the National Immunization Week (PIN) Polio program run optimally.

Polio Immunization in Seribu Island Target 4,295 Children

Juani emphasized that polio immunization is important and must be a main concern, because it is an effort to protect children from poliomyelitis. Therefore, to make PIN Polio 2024 a success, support from parents and family is needed as well as the nation's next generation.

"We hope that residents make the best use of this opportunity. Don't miss giving two drops of polio to our children. This ensures their growth and development," he said, Wednesday (7/24).

He also ensured that polio immunization in the Jakarta area was distributed evenly and reached the target set by the Minister of Health of 95 percent. The target number of children in the North Jakarta area is 218,303 children aged 0-7 years with a daily target of 31,186 children.

"The polio immunization implementation team has also prepared additional food and gifts for children to provide enthusiasm and motivation to children and parents. Hopefully this first round can run smoothly and be successful," he hoped.

Moreover, Juani also monitored the disbursement of cheap subsidized food at RPTRA Sindang Raya, Koja. According to him, this cheap food program is in line with the health program for children and families by providing healthy and nutritious food.

2,245 packages of cheap subsidized food have been prepared, consisting of 427 chickens, 404 kilograms of beef, 453 trays of eggs, 440 bags of rice, 266 cartons of milk and 255 kilograms of fish.

"Hopefully this cheap food can help people increase nutritional intake as well as increase accessibility and stabilize food prices in Jakarta," he stated.

Meanwhile, Koja Sub-district Deputy Head, Yuni Wijayanti, admitted that she will continue to monitor the implementation of polio immunization.

"Immunization target in Koja is 41,019 children with daily target 5,860 children," she said.

According to him, the immunization is also held at several places such as integrated health post, community health center, playground, school, RPTRA, and so on.
