1,235 Trees Planted in East Jakarta

We will continue it in the future

The East Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency has noted that as many as 1,235 trees and 470,605 polybags of ornamental plants in some areas from January to Monday (7/29).

East Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency Head, Djauhar Arifin said the tree plating packaged in the Jumat Menanam program will keep being continued until the end of December

"We will continue it in the future," he expressed.

According to him, it is the Jakarta Provincial Government's program to realize a greener Jakarta area. This year, as many as 4,000 trees were targeted to be planted from various types and sizes.

"If combined with planting ornamental plants, the progress has reached 50 percent," he concluded.

Some types of trees planted include Yellow Tabebuia, Pink Tabebuia, Palm, and various other types.
