May Day, East Jakarta to Deploy Hundreds of Personnel

East Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department is going to deploy hundreds of personnel to monitor and oversee the workers who will celebrate the May Day, which falls on May 1, 2015.

Despite it's centralized in Central Jakarta, we will keep overseeing the traffic flow in East Jakarta that would be passed by the workers, especially from Bekasi-Pulogadung

According to Bernard Octavianus, Head of East Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department stated his sub-department will focus on overseeing the long march workers, starting from the capital entrance on the border of Jakarta and Bekasi until crossing lane.

May Day, 18,000 Policemen to Secure the City

“Despite it's centralized in Central Jakarta, we will keep overseeing the traffic flow in East Jakarta that would be passed by the workers, especially from Bekasi-Pulogadung,” he explained, Thursday (4/30).

He predicted that the number of the workers is more than 100,000 people. Nevertheless, he does not add the personnel.

“Predictably, traffic congestion in East Jakarta during May Day will happen around Cawang and Jalan MT Haryono,” he disclosed.
