East Jakarta Dukcapil Distributes Flags to Residents

To enliven Independence Day's 79th Anniversary, the East Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Sub-agency (Dukcapil), distributed free flags to residents who propose population administration (adminduk) at the urban village, sub-district, and sub-agency offices.

East Jakarta Dukcapil Sub-agency's Administration Sub-agency Head, Sutikno expressed that at each adminduk service counter, mini flags equipped with stalks had been prepared to be distributed to residents who came.

"This year, we distributed red and white flags at every public service counter," he said, Thursday (8/8).

Hundreds of Red-White Flags and Banners Installed in Thousand Islands

According to him, those flags would be distributed every Wednesday during August 2024 at every service counter in 65 urban villages, 10 sub-districts, and the Dukcapil Sub-agency office.

"In total, there are 3,040 flags," he explained.

Cilangkap Urban Village Dukcapil Executing Unit Head, Audia Rininda uttered that residents who were proposing their adminduk documents at her place were very happy to receive the 18x12-centimeter mini flag.

"Residents are very happy to receive it. We routinely provide it every Wednesday, according to the direction of the leadership," he added.

One of the residents in RW 03, Saidah (41) said giving this flag was an education for her children so that they would always remember the struggle of the heroes in liberating this country.

"The distribution of this flag raises our spirit of nationalism as children of the nation," she stated.
