KPKP Agency Supervises Fresh Food in South Jakarta

Jakarta Food Security, Maritime and Agriculture Agency continues to strive to ensure food security for citizens by increasing supervision of fresh food from plants and livestock.
The agency conducted supervision at Minggu Market, Mampang Prapatan Market, Warung Buncit Market, Lenteng Agung Market, and Transmart Cilandak in South Jakarta.
It was recorded that there were 132 food samples tested with details of 103 agricultural products and 29 livestock products. The results of the hundreds of food samples tested, no hazardous materials were found, residues, pesticides and formalin.

"People do not need to hesitate and worry about meeting their food needs," said Solihin, Agency's Consumption Diversification and Food Security Affairs Head, Thursday (8/15).
Solihin added that the agency also cooperates with Perumda Pasar Jaya, especially to each markets management to be involved in supervision.
The agency also actively monitors vegetable and livestock centers outside the city accompanied by the local KPKP Agency.
"It is aimed to ensure that the food supplied to Jakarta is healthy and safe," he stated.
