Manggarai Fire Survivors Receive Assistance from Perumda Pasar Jaya

Perumda Pasar Jaya once again distributed aid to fire survivors in Manggarai Urban Village, Tebet Sub-district, South Jakarta.

Perumda Pasar Jaya President Director, Agus Himawan Widiyanto said the assistance was a commitment to help others who were in need of help.

"We're a Jakarta BUMD took the initiative to distribute aid in the form of basic food packages," he expressed, Friday (8/16).

He explained this assistance is a form of presence of the Jakarta Provincial Government through the care and social responsibility of regional companies.

"We're very concerned about the disaster that befell our brothers and sisters in Manggarai. Hopefully, this assistance can help meet the needs of fire survivors," he explained.

He detailed, the aid distributed was 3.5 tonnes of rice, 100 cartons of cooking oil, 30 cartons of sugar, 10 cartons of sardines, 100 cartons of instant noodles, and 30 cartons of UHT milk.

"We distribute aid directly to refugee camps in coordination with the local government, thus it is right on target," he explained.

He hoped that it could lighten their burden to meet their daily needs.

"Hope they can recover quickly and get back on their feet," hoped.

He added Perumda Pasar Jaya continues to be committed to helping people in need. Perumda Pasar Jaya also invites all parties to participate in helping.

"Through cooperation and solidarity, hopefully, the fire victims in Manggarai will quickly recover and be able to return to carrying out their daily activities," he added.

As for the information, fire burned hundreds of houses in the densely populated residential areas of RW 06 and 12, Manggarai Urban Village in the early hours of Tuesday (8/13).

As a result of the fire, 3,019 people out of 1,050 heads of families lost their homes.
