2024 Disaster Preparedness Education Festival Successfully Held

Jakarta Regional Disaster Handling Agency (BPBD) successfully held 2024 Disaster Preparedness Education Festival at Wahyu Sihombing Theater, Taman Ismail Marzuki, Cikini, Central Jakarta.

The festival was cooperation between Jakarta BPBD with PT Unitde Tractors and PT Jakarta Propertindo.

This festival is a form of disaster risk reduction efforts for children through a series of competitions participated by students from elementary school to college. There are four types of competition categories, namely, educational video competition, scientific work, evacuation plan and quiz.

BPBD Synergizes to Increase Students' Understanding of Disasters

Jakarta BPBD Head, Isnawa Adji, said it is a creative way to foster disaster awareness from an early age through competition of disaster mitigation and preparedness.

Isnawa added the festival implementation was supported much by more than 250 schools and colleges in Jakarta.

"I appreciate the enthusiasm of all parties to foster a culture of disaster awareness from an early age, starting from school age, Isnawa said, Friday (8/16).

- Scientific paper competition for high school level:

1. SMK Nurul Islam Jakarta

2. SMKN 26 Jakarta

3. SMAN 103 Jakarta

- Disaster quiz competition:

1. SMAN 8 Jakarta

2. MAN 16 Jakarta

3. SMAN 94 Jakarta

- Scientific paper competition for college level:

1. Univeritas Negeri Jakarta
