Water Channel Capacity on Jalan Surya Jaya Increased

The West Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency is increasing the channel capacity on Jalan Surya Wijaya, RT 01/05, Kedoya Utara Urban Village, Kebon Jeruk Sub-district.
Hopefully, the area will be free of flooding
West Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Head, Purwanti said the additional capacity of the water channel was done by widening the channel by 700 meters using 60x60 and 80x80 centimeter U-ditches.
"It was done on the proposal of the council members' recess. Previously, the condition was also smaller and in some parts it was damaged," she expressed, Tuesday (9/3).

"The channel will also be covered using concrete casting to make it neater," she explained.
She hoped that after it was done, the channel could accommodate rainwater in large quantities and minimize flooding.
The work received appreciation from one of the residents, Bambang Sutrisno (51).
"Hopefully, the area will be free of flooding," she hoped.
