The Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal, Ciracas, East Jakarta will prepare a luggage storage facility for prospective intercity and interprovincial (AKAP) bus passengers. The location is right in front of the management office or next to the integrated security post.

This is part of improving the quality of service

Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal Head, Yulza Ramadhoni said this facility was provided to facilitate passengers who want to buy bus tickets on the second floor of the terminal and have to use the stairs.

"Passengers do not need to bother carrying their belongings when they want to buy tickets to the second floor. This luggage storage is free," he expressed, Wednesday (10/2).

He furthered this luggage storage facility was also to anticipate cases of forced "services" for transporting goods by a number of PO Bus officers or thugs which could result in extortion of prospective passengers.

Jakarta Transportation Agency's Terminal Technical Unit Management Head, Syamsul Mirwan added the luggage storage facility was part of improving the quality of services to the community and could be used this week.

"This is part of improving the quality of service to the public considering that the counter is on the second floor," he concluded.

His party also proposed to the Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) that an escalator be prepared at this terminal to facilitate passengers to get on and off at the bus counter on the second floor.

"Hopefully, in 2025, escalator facilities to the second floor can be realized," he hoped.
