Acting Governor Accepts Workers' Aspirations Regarding UMP 2025

Jakarta Acting Governor, Teguh Setyabudi received representatives of workers who conveyed their aspirations regarding the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) at Jakarta City Hall.

The workers are asking for a wage increase in 2025

After the meeting, he deeply respects the democratic rights of people who want to voice or express their aspirations.

"Firstly, this is a determination before the UMP. We continue to respect the democratic rights of workers to express their aspirations," he expressed, Thursday (10/31).

He expressed his gratitude to the representatives or labor associations who conveyed their aspirations safely and peacefully.

"The workers are asking for a wage increase in 2025. We are still waiting for the process and continuing to make efforts so that workers in Jakarta can receive wage standards following statutory regulations," he explained.

According to him, there were several processes conducted before the UMP was determined through the Wage Council, which also included elements of laborers or workers.

"We are not silent, we are making efforts which hopefully will be accepted by all parties, including the workers," he stressed.
