PKP Minister to Help Build Vertical Housing in Tanah Tinggi

Housing and Residential Areas (PKP) Minister, Maruarar Sirait, confirmed that he will assist in the construction of three vertical housing units for residents of RW 12, Tanah Tinggi Urban Village, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta.

"I will help build three vertical housing. Later, the Sub-district Head will help me to register the prioritized residents," he stated, on the sidelines of his visit to this densely populated area, Monday (11/11).

He explained the priority category for residents of this housing complex will be those who are economically disadvantaged, elderly and in dire need of decent housing.

According to him, this vertical housing construction is a real manifestation of the mutual cooperation movement involving all parties without using the state budget. This housing will be built on land owned by those who agree to be consolidated.

"The vertical housing that will be built consists of four floors and each building is intended for 12 heads of families," he explained.

By so, development could be realized immediately, he asked the sub-district and urban village officials to immediately conduct data collection.

"Earlier I asked the Sub-district Head if she could collect data on the residents for a week. So in three months the residents can move in," he asserted.

Johar Baru Sub-district Head, Nurhelmi Savitrie appreciated the minister's initiative to carry out development without using the state budget.

He promised to immediately conduct data collection and field checks to determine suitable locations for building vertical housing.

"We will first collect data and check the field. The location is in RW 12, Tanah Tinggi, which is the most suitable place," he closed.
