Jakarta Women's Team Tennis Contributes First Gold at Pra Popnas 2024

The Jakarta Pra Popnas 2024 women's team tennis team won a gold medal, after they defeated West Java in the final round at the Gelora Manahan Tennis Court, Solo, Friday (11/15).

Hopefully, at the Popnas 2025 event, we can also win gold

The Jakarta team's victory came from the first women's singles player, Gwen Emily Kurniawan, who managed to defeat her opponent Quirina Trea in two sets without a reply.

The gold medal was won by the second singles player, Mischka Sinclair Goenadi, who managed to beat Fajrina Aurelia 2-0.

As for the third match featuring the pair Kayla Ruth Santoso and Naomi Gracelyn Tio facing Fajrina Aurelia and Sannia Yonda, was still ongoing when this news was written.

Female Student Tennis Player, Mischka Sinclair Goenadi admitted that she was happy to be able to determine the certainty of the Jakarta contingent winning its first gold at Pra Popnas event.

She admitted before she could finish the match she was nervous at the beginning of the game. Then the character of the ball on the field also made it difficult for her.

But, she was soon able to adapt and return the rhythm of the game as before. As a result, she was able to win by a landslide two sets without reply.

"Hopefully, at the Popnas 2025 event, we can also win gold," she hoped.
