City Budgeted Rp 3 Billion to Recruit Freelancer

In order to increase public service, city administration will allocate budget amount by Rp 2.1 – 3 billion for the headmen throughout Jakarta to recruit freelancer this year. The budget allocation is intended to freelancer wages per month for Rp 2.7 million, health insurance, building material expenditure as well as pick up vehicle as operational car.

The Government Assistant of City Secretary, Bambang Sugiyono admitted, the recruitment of freelancer employment is based on gubernatorial regulation related public facility handling in urban village. “Indeed, the gubernatorial regulations already exist. It clearly stated that urban village will recruit contract employee,” he said at city hall, Tuesday (5/19).
The Former Mayor of North Jakarta expressed, each urban villages have variety number of employees between 40-70 person, depend on the area and the population. The urban village with under populated and small area will be given 40 contract employees. “We would give 70 employees if the urban village has greater area,” he uttered.

The freelancer should meet a number of requirements, aged 18 to 58 years, the maximum educated elementary school (SD) and should have Jakarta identity Card.
"The other requirements, the freelancer should not in position of RT, RW and Village Deliberation Agencies (LMK). They will get Rp 2.7 million salary every month in accordance with the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP). Then, they will also get orange uniform. The entire budgets we will give to urban village include buying material as cement and a pick-up car for operational," he told.
Furthermore, Musyawardhana told, the freelancer will also get health insurance facility from Healthcare and Social Security Agency (BPJS). Every day, all freelancers will divide into two shift working hour starting from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. WIB and 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
He added, the freelancer will be evaluated by urban village head every three month, and will be fired if they have bad performance.
He hoped, the freelancer can help the urban village Head performance more optimal in solving all problems in Jakarta such as damaged road, puddle, and rubbish.
