Munjirin Inaugurates Bedah Rumah Program in Lebak Bulus

South Jakarta Mayor, Munjirin, inaugurated the Baznas Bazis Jakarta's program 'bedah rumah' (house renovation) on Jalan Manunggal Jaya, RT 08/04, Lebak Bulus Urban Village, Cilandak Sub-district.

This is our first step in building a better nation 

According to him, this program, which targets the underprivileged, is real evidence of the government's efforts to improve the quality of life of the community, reduce poverty rates and improve the economic level of the community.

"This is our first step in building a better nation and our commitment to continue producing something that is beneficial to society," he expressed, Monday (12/30).

Hopefully, it would be a good pilot, or motivation for RT/RW administrators and local governments to encourage their residents to be more active in paying zakat, infaq and alms. By so, in 2025, his achievements were getting higher and there would be more programs or benefits that Baznas Bazis Jakarta could provide to the community.

South Jakarta Baznas Bazis Coordinator, Ahmad Kahpi explained the bedah rumah program aimed at helping the poor get decent, safe, comfortable, and healthy housing.

"This is very outstanding, as this year, we can support the program for 173 houses or there is an increase of 22 houses," he explained.

He expressed his gratitude to the South Jakarta City administration, entrepreneurs, community leaders, RT/RW administrators, and residents who always support Baznas Bazis in the form of collecting or utilizing ZIS.

"Insya Allah (God willing), in 2025, we can go beyond 2024 regarding  bedah rumah program or other programs," he stressed.

The action above received appreciation from a resident from RT 07/04, Lebak Bulus Urban Village, Jaelani (63), who works as a casual laborer, said she was happy because her broken house had been renovated to live in with her family.

"With the current condition of the house, it will give us a new life, new spirit and a decent life in doing daily activities," he uttered.
