In early 2025, all regions must plant in their respective place

Jakarta Tamhut Agency Secretary, Rudy Syahrul said tree planting was done to make Jakarta greener and fresher.

"In early 2025, all regions must plant in their respective places," he expressed when he led the planting of ten trees type Tebabyua Kuning at Abdul Rahman Park, Cibubur Urban Village, Cipayung, East Jakarta, Friday (1/3).

Djarot Optimistic Jakarta Maintains its Strategic Role

Last year, his personnel planted six million shade trees and ornamental plants, including Mangrove. Hopefully, this year, more trees could be planted, at least the same number.

"If there are 10,000 trees on target yet its target is beyond what it should be. This year, we'll soon also plant 500 rare trees all over Jakarta," he continued.

Specially for Mangrove tree, this year, as many as 50,000 trees were targeted to be planted in Jakarta. Shade trees would also be planted which are believed to attract many birds.

East Jakarta Tamhut Sub-agency Head, Dwi Ponangsera explained that every Friday, ten trees were targeted to be planted at each spot in ten sub-districts. The target is empty land in park areas, green belts, and public cemeteries (TPU).

"The target is to plant 4,000 shade trees over the next year and more than one million ornamental plants," he added.

So, he urged the public to help care for and maintain trees or ornamental plants that have been planted.
