Cilincing Sub-district's Water Resource Field Coordinator, Nandi Yantoro, said the normalization is based on residents request due to narrow sewer and clogged channel. The condition triggers inundation during rain.
"The channel is being widened from 40 cm to 60 cm with 65 cm of depth," he said, Tuesday (2/4).

"The work was started in end of January and is targeted to complete in March," he added.
Meanwhile, one of local residents, Akbar (39), appreciated the Implementer Unit for normalizing the channel.
"Hopefully our area will be free from inundation after the channel is widened," he hoped.
