"We welcome the arrangement for RTH, especially Maju Bersama Park and maybe RPTRA, because RTH is still needed in Jakarta," she expressed.
She conveyed that the Jakarta City Park and Forestry Agency needs to ensure that RTHs in Jakarta are equipped with adequate facilities, such as toilets, children's playground, as well as elderly and disabled people friendly.
"Facilities in RTH, if possible, we suggest safe for children, elderly, and people with disabilities. That's our concern," she said.
She added that the city's plan to open park for 24 hours should be carefully prepared, such as the provision of security officers, CCTV, and sufficient lighting.
"The longer it is opened, not to mention 24 hours, the more it will be used by the public. It needs careful preparation and socialization," she stated.
For information, Jakarta Acting Governor, Teguh Setyabudi recently inaugurated 15 newly arranged green open spaces (RTH) in 2024, comprising nine parks, three urban forests, two public cemeteries, and one RTH.
The inauguration was marked by the signing of 15 RTH inscriptions at Jakarta City Hall on Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta, on Monday (2/3).
