Food Supervision in South Jakarta Markets Keeps Being Intensified

South Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Hasudungan A Sidabalok said intensive food monitoring was conducted to welcome Ramadhan and ensure food safety for the residents.
"We have inspected four traditional and modern markets. They are in Tebet and Setiabudi," he expressed, Wednesday (2/26).
Commission B: Food Supervision is Important Ahead of RamadhanThose markets were Bukit Duri Market with ten agricultural samples and four livestock samples; Gelael Tebet Signature Market with nine agricultural samples and four livestock samples.
Then Rumput Market with nine agricultural samples and two livestock samples; and Tebet Superindo Market with six agricultural samples and three livestock samples.
"In total, we took 34 agricultural samples and 13 livestock samples that we tested in the laboratory. The results stated that all were safe and free from hazardous substances," he explained.
He added that market supervision would be continuously intensified to protect consumers from food hazards or contamination by chemical or biological substances.
"Hopefully, this can have a positive health impact on the wider community," he hoped.
