Hundreds of Productive Trees Planted to Green Lebak Bulus Reservoir

A total of 350 productive trees were planted at Lebak Bulus Reservoir, Cilandak Sub-district, South Jakarta. This tree planting was initiated by Universitas Indonesia Alumni Association (Iluni UI).

"These trees will also produce more oxygen for us,"

South Jakarta Mayor, Munjirin expressed his gratitude to Iluni UI for their contribution to save the earth by making the environment greener.

"Not only making South Jakarta more beautiful and greener, these trees will also produce more oxygen for us," he conveyed, Friday (2/28).

He hopes the synergy with Iluni UI in developing South Jakarta can continue to run well in the future.

"We hope next we can also build a synergy in any field. We are ready to cooperate with Iluni UI in advancing South Jakarta," he said.

On the other hand, Iluni UI Chairperson, Didit Agripinanto Ratam explained, there were 350 trees planted, consisting of 175 soursop trees and 175 watery rose apple trees.

He added that Iluni UI routinely cooperate with South Jakarta Government through trees planting program.

"With this enthusiasm, we hope that the greening activities can be continued and promoted by all parties," he stated.
