Environment Department BEM UI 2025 Head, Maisya Almas Kuminar said JSS could be a forum for cross-sector collaboration for sustainable waste management, including the involvement of universities.
"By doing so, the BEM can run the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, as it includes elements of innovation and research, education, and community outreach," she expressed, Friday (3/7).

According to him, this program is a good collaboration forum between students, universities and the government in realizing a cleaner and greener Jakarta through awareness in utilizing waste better.
To support this collaboration, his party would provide educational reinforcement during capacity building through speakers or experts who are experts in waste management, and educational assistance for the JSS BEM UI program committee, including volunteers in going into the field.
"Hopefully, this movement can spread the community and even individuals to reduce waste by using environmentally friendly products, getting used to sorting waste and processing waste according to its type," he stated.
