Governor Invites Jakarta Chamber of Commerce to Participate in Developing Business Climate in Jakarta

Governor Pramono Anung encouraged the ranks of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to work together to create a conducive and inclusive business climate in Jakarta.

We must be the main locomotive

This was stated by Pramono, when he gave a speech at the Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry Leadership Meeting at the Borobudur Hotel, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Friday (3/7).

He explained Jakarta contributed 16.7 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) nationally. However, Jakarta's growth during 2024 was around 4.9 percent below the national 5.02 percent.

According to him, the trade, property and automotive sectors, which have made a major contribution to business development in Jakarta, are currently experiencing a decline.

Therefore, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry was urged to work together to improve Jakarta from a business perspective.

He was optimistic that Jakarta would progress if the business world is healthy, transparent and well-managed by people who want to build this city.

"We must be the main locomotive. I will encourage them to play a role in advancing Jakarta according to the portion that has been carried out so far," he stressed.

His party was also committed to making Jakarta's face friendlier, kinder, more helpful and no longer making things difficult for business people.

"We will hold a meeting to provide ease of licensing services to the business world. So, if anyone is still having difficulty taking care of the licensing, please contact me directly. Because something like this will not produce anything good for Jakarta," he asserted.
