Registration Opens for Free Mudik Trips for Seribu Islands Residents

Since the online registration opened on March 7, 2025, the number of applicants for the free mudik (exodus) trips to Seribu Islands has touched 435 people as of this morning. Registration will be remain opening until March 25.

The starting point of departure is from Muara Angke Port

Seribu Islands Economy and Development Section Head, Endro Mukti Wibowo said that many residents had been living away for a long time and wanted to return to their hometowns in Seribu Islands during Idulfitri.

"This program is deemed a safer and more comfortable transportation solution for them without the need to incur costs," he expressed, Monday (3/10).

He explained the Seribu Islands Regency administration continues to coordinate with the Water Transportation Management Unit (UPAP) to prepare adequate ships as the number of mudik travelers increases.

He explained the main objective of this program is to ensure that Seribu Islands residents receive safe and comfortable transportation services, thus their mudik trip to Seribu Islands runs smoothly without any obstacles.

He urged travelers to comply with the sailing safety regulations implemented by KSOP and Transportation Agency (Dishub).

"They need to be orderly in bringing the necessary documents during re-registration and follow the applicable rules," he added.

Jakarta Dishub's UPAP Head, Anthon R Parura added the planned departure for mudik from mainland Jakarta to Seribu Islands was scheduled for March 28, 2025.

"The starting point of departure is from Muara Angke Port. Travelers will be taken to 11 docks scattered across the Seribu Islands," he explained.

He added there were 11 destinations this year, namely, Untung Jawa Island, Lancang Island, Pari Island, Payung Island, Tidung Island, Pramuka Island, Panggang Island, Kelapa Island, Kelapa Dua Island, Harapan Island, and Sabira Island.
