The Jakarta Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BBPOM) along with the Central Jakarta City administration, conducted supervision of iftar snack or takjil around the roundabout of Jalan Angkasa Raya, in front of the Akbar Mosque, RW 06, Kebon Kosong, Kemayoran, Tuesday (3/18).

Central Jakarta Economy and Development Assistant, Bakwan Ferizan Ginting explained, 23 takjil samples of food were examined by officers in laboratory cars.

"No hazardous substances in the food," she explained.
Aside that, officers also educated the community and traders about the prohibition of using harmful substances in food.
"If the food contains harmful substances, we will confiscate and destroy it, as well as rehabilitate the errant traders," she asserted.
She would also monitor the food used for Eid hampers ahead of Idulfitri 1446 Hijri.
"We'll intensify supervision of food importers and distributors used for hampers to ensure that the products circulating are safe for consumption by the public," she closed.
