Personnel Extinguish Fire Burns Workshop and Office on Jalan Jaya Pura 1

As many as 38 personnel of North Jakarta and Seribu Island Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency extinguished fire that burned a workshop and office on Jalan Jaya Pura 1, KBN Marunda RT 07/02, Cilincing Urban Village, Cilincing District.

North Jakarta and Seribu Island Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency's Operation Section Head, Gatot Sulaeman said his side received incident report at 9:12 AM.

"Then we directly deployed nine firetrucks with 38 personnel," he said, Monday (5/5).

Gatot explained the fire was successfully handled at 9:31 AM then continued to cooling process. The extinguishing was completed fully at 9:55 AM.

According to him, there were no fatalities or injuries in this incident because all employees immediately managed to get out and save themselves.

"The incident was allegedly caused by electrical short circuit," he added.

Meanwhile, one of the employees, Juhandi (48), admitted the fire came from the AC outdoor unit. Then, the fire spread to the pile of goods and immediately spread to the surrounding room.

"Thanks to the personnel for handling this incident quickly," he admitted.
