Taxpayers Can Use the Signal Application to Avoid Queues

Taxpayers enthusiastically pay motor vehicle taxes at the East Jakarta Samsat, following the removal of administrative sanctions for Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) and Vehicle Transfer Duty (BBNKB) starting from June 14 to August 31, 2025.

The system is online, so there is no need to queue

For those whose vehicle taxes are not overdue or have no unpaid taxes, they can also use the National Digital Samsat or called Signal application to avoid queues.

East Jakarta PKB and BBNKB Unit Head, Alberto Ali said, taxpayers could use this Signal application to facilitate tax payments.

"They can pay vehicle taxes anywhere and anytime. The system is online, so there is no need to queue at the office or Samsat outlets," he expressed, Tuesday (6/24).

He explained, the application itself can be downloaded via a smartphone, and the process is also very easy, quick, effective, and efficient.

"This application was launched about four years ago. Tax revenue via Signal application can currently reach Rp 400-500 million per day," he explained.

He assessed this application greatly assists taxpayers and tax officers in creating a comfortable environment for taxpayers to pay taxes without queues.

"This can still be used for those who pay their taxes late, up to a maximum of 10 months past the due date. If it's been longer than that, they must go to the Samsat Office," he explained.

One of the taxpayers, Andry (32) admitted, he once used the application and was very easy and quick.

"Payment can be made through a virtual account available on mobile banking or ATMs. It is very easy, just register in the application. There will be a virtual account number for the payment," he admitted.
