Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung met the Social Minister, Saifullah Yusuf, at Jakarta City Hall, Friday (10/24).
I'm glad that we finally agreed on those three priority programs
This meeting discussed the synergy between the Jakarta Provincial Government and the Ministry of Social Affairs in implementing President Prabowo's three priority strategic programs aimed at improving social welfare.
Preventing Budget Accumulation, Pramono Urges Accelerated Project AuctionsThe three strategic programs are the community school program, data integration, and empowerment program. Pramono also welcomed the data integration plan to address overlapping issues and ensure more targeted programs.
"I'm glad that we finally agreed on those three priority programs," said Pramono.
Pramono added that Jakarta Provincial Government is ready to make all its data available to ensure more targeted program implementation. There has been overlapping data held by the central government and the Jakarta Provincial Government.
He cited the Jakarta Provincial Government's programs, which are similar to those of the central government, such as the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP), the Jakarta Excellent Student Card (KJMU), and assistance for the disabled and the elderly.
"I'm sure it will eliminate duplicate users and be more targeted if integration can be run. So we are ready to disclose our data fully," he added.
Regarding the community school program, Pramono stated that the Jakarta Provincial Government will soon propose areas that are ready to be used for the construction of community schools. Meanwhile, the central government will carry out the construction of the buildings using funds from the State Budget (APBN).
They also discussed cooperation with the Social Welfare Center (Puskesos) at the urban village level. If this program collaboration is implemented, it will serve as a model for addressing social welfare issues, such as poverty and education.
"There are 707,513 KJPs and 16,920 KJMUs for S1, S2, and S3 level in Jakarta. I am sure it will be more on target if this can be run together," he continued.
Meanwhile, Social Minister, Saifullah Yusuf explained that cooperation and collaboration between the central government and the Jakarta Provincial Government are necessary in implementing priority programs to improve social welfare.
He also emphasized that data is crucial and the most decisive factor. Therefore, integration is necessary to ensure that programs are well-targeted. Up to now, the government has not had a single database or a single Indonesian database.
However, since last February, the President has issued Presidential Instruction Number 4/2025 about the management of single data by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), including regional government data.
"Our data is more accurate, everything is based on the same data with this one Indonesian data," he explained.
Meanwhile, regarding the Community School program, the Minister of Social Affairs explained that currently, the Community Schools in Jakarta are still using temporary buildings owned by the Ministry of Social Affairs in Pondok Indah, Bambu Apus, and Pasar Rebo. He hopes Jakarta Provincial Government will support in providing land for the construction of these public schools through this cooperation.
"Hopefully Jakarta Provincial Government will provide permanent building for the community school program," he stated.
Related about the Social Welfare Center, Saifullah added that this program will have a referral service system in the urban village and involve companions, volunteers, and parties involved in social empowerment.
