Nonsan Strawberry Festival will Return to Jakarta

Jakarta Provincial Government cooperates with Nonsan City, South Korea to hold Nonsan Strawberry Festival in Jakarta in February 2026.

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung said Nonsan is the world's number one strawberry producer.

"Today I received the Mayor of Nonsan. The main goal is to re-establish the Nonsan Strawberry Festival," he said, Thursday (12/4).

The 2026 Nonsan Strawberry Festival will be the third time the festival has been held in Jakarta. The Jakarta Provincial Government has fully supported the event.

"Jakarta is one of the largest markets for strawberries in the world. Therefore, we expect purchases or absorption by the Jakarta market to exceed 20 tons," he added.

Meanwhile, Nonsan Mayor, Baek Sung-Hyeon expressed his appreciation for the Jakarta Provincial Government's support and the warm welcome from the residents. He added that the collaboration to organize this festival will continue in future years.

"We are from Nonsan City, which is famous for its strawberries, will come back to bring our strawberries to the strawberry festival which will be held as soon as possible," he stated.

According to him, Nonsan strawberries are the best in the world due to favorable weather, technology, and soil. He also said that Nonsan strawberries are of high quality and nutritional value. In addition to Indonesia, a strawberry festival will also be held in Nonsan in 2027.

"I invite all Indonesian people to come to Nonsan in 2027, February to March for 24 days at the Nonsan Expo International event," he said.
