Ahok Ready to Help Demolishing Illegal Buildings on Pertamina's Lands

Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama is ready to help demolishing illegal buildings stood atop a land belongs to PT Pertamina.

We'll help the demolishment by sending Satpol PP, Police and Army

Ahok stated PT Pertamina was instructed to hold socialization to the citizens. "Eventually, PT Pertamina obligates to do negotiation of relocation. The citizens will be relocated to flats," he said, at Pertamina Office, Tuesday (7/14).

Ahok claimed he was ready to send Satpol PP personnel to assist his demolishment plan. But there should be coordination between Police and Army. "We'll help the demolishment by sending Satpol PP, Police and Army," he told.

His readiness is also as a concrete step of cooperation between Jakarta Provincial Government and PT Pertamina.

"The cooperation also aims to tidy up land assets of Pertamina, don't let the lands settled by buildings which have no building permit, electricity, and fire incident always happens," he expressed.

He added, the problem is those citizens who have been occupying the lands, are reluctant to be relocated. As usually they ask for charge of the land occupied. Whereas it's not theirs.

"So in Jakarta, people cannot monopolize land. It's bothering when they insists to request of land compensation. Of course they can't," he asserted.
