Ahok: SKPD, Don't Be Afraid to Fire Unruly Civil Servants

Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T Purnama urges all regional working units (SKPD) not to protect the unruly civil servant (PNS) who cheating on the budget. If the case is found, they will be punished strictly.

If they still defend themselves, I will make a report to police. So, the right management applied is just fire

Ahok hoped the SKPD heads to be brave giving a recommendation to him against unruly employees. According to him, the recommendation is not only demotion.

“We have to fire them (unruly employees). If we see them play with private party, just fire them,” he stressed, City Hall, Monday (7/13).

Ahok exemplified that despite the multiple cards were detected in Jakarta Smart Card (KJP), but no one dared to impose sanction to the actors.

“If the inspectorate does not impose sanction, they must resign as civil servant. If it is just demotion, I think it would be a conspiracy,” he expressed.

Even, Ahok asserted he was not afraid to fire civil servants. Because its existence in Jakarta has exceeded the quota. Thus, most do not work maximally. He also threatened to the unruly employee’s will be criminalized. 

"If they still defend themselves, I will make a report to police. So, the right management applied is just fire,” he asserted.
