Djarot to Celebrate Eid ul-Fitr in Solo Tomorrow

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat has his own schedule to celebrate Eid ul-Fitr 1436 Hijri. Along with his wife and three daughters, the second man in the city will go to Solo, Central Java, tomorrow or Saturday (7/18).

As planned, the Former Mayor of Blitar will gather with his six siblings in his oldest brother's house. "We're seven brothers as our parents have passed away and each has own business. So, every year, we must gather," said Djarot, at his official house, Friday (7/17). 

He mentioned, the gathering tradition has been done alternately every the celebration. "This year, the host is my oldest brother who lives in Solo. So, his brothers will gather there. Next year, in my second older brother, and so on, I am the forth son," he told.

Djarot: Civil Servants Must Work Harder

However, he has no brother who follows him as politician. 

"My oldest brother is a doctor, the others are teacher, banker. It's only me who work on politic," he expressed. 

After gathering with his relatives, Djarot and family will be going forward to Blitar using a train. 

"There will be an open house event with the locals. I will also visiting to Soekarno's grave. Afterwards, he will be going to Surabaya for pilgrimage to his parents' grave and back to Jakarta," he finished.
