MOPDB Must Be Full of Educational Activities, Djarot Says

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat appealed the New Students Orientation (MOPDB) must be filled with variety of educational activities that build moral and character, foster creativity, talents and interests of entire school community.

"Grow interest, talent and creativity while understand the school environment as a place of learning for three years is very important," told Djarot after closing MOPDB in State Junior High School (SMPN) 20, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, Wednesday (7/29).
Because of that, Djarot added, the early days of school must be followed by sense of excitement. The students may not have stress, fear, doubt and not optimistic.

Djarot asserted, violent, humiliating, degrading thus harassing the new students should not happen during MOPDB activities.
Djarot also hoped the closing of MOPDB activities will be filled by variety of arts performance that initiated and implemented by School Students Organization by displaying talents and interests of students in grade 8 and 9 as well as the new students.
"We hope this event could become continuous agenda in SMPN 20 because it can inspire younger classes and provide good relationship between juniors, seniors, and school," said Djarot.
