Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) claimed that there is a deal with Jakarta General Elections Commission (KPU) about their temporary office location in Mitra Praja Sunter, North Jakarta.
We agreed long ago while they want renovate the building. They said that they will move to Sunter after Eid
But, Ahok confused when heard that Jakarta KPU complained to Commission A (Government Sector) of Jakarta Legislatives related temporary office location.
"We agreed long ago while they want renovate the building. They said that they will move to Sunter after Eid," told Ahok in City Hall, Thursday (8/6).
KPU Begins Vote Recapitulation for City LevelAhok explained, his side had met several times with KPU commissioners to discuss this issue because in his observation, the Jakarta KPU current building on Jalan Budi Kemuliaan, Central Jakarta is not feasible again to be used. "We have a deal about it because we have met several times here anyway," he told.
He considered with the deal, there is no problem anymore. "So, why are they report about it today, even they had agreed it," said Ahok.
Previously, the Commission A Secretary of Legislatives, Sharif claimed, had received complaints from KPU commissioners regarding the letter to empty KPU old building through Jakarta Financial Management and Regional Asset (BPKAD) Body.
Meanwhile, temporary office located in Mitra Praja Sunter considered less appropriate. Therefore, the location is very prone to flood so feared would be bad for the city election preparations that will begin next year.
