Ahok: Civil Servant, Let's Fight Corruption!

Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama instructed all civil servants under Jakarta Provincial Government to combat corruption. Moreover, they have been facilitated with performance allowance (TKD) which is equivalent to private employees.

Whenever people ask me, why Indonesia has not become an advanced country? The answer is only one, corruption. That's why, let us to fight corruption

"Whenever people ask me, why Indonesia has not become an advanced country? The answer is only one, corruption. That's why, let us to fight corruption. Because you (civil servants) already paid dearly," he stressed, when he became a Ceremony Inspector of 70th Indonesia Independence Day in Silang Monas, Central Jakarta, Monday (8/17).

Ahok: We Are Still Not Yet Independent

They had sworn to run the duty during inauguration. Hopefully, they could promise to work well.

"Don’t be a civil servant if you still feel not enough with your income. If you ruin your employee oath, this is the same you give a bad impact to the next generation due to our hypocrisy," he explained.

He added the fighters do not need to sacrifice their lives, but not to corrupt in serving the public.

"Hence, let’s become patriots of the nation by saying no corruption," he finished.
