Illegal Parking, 30 Vehicles in Tanah Abang Netted

As much as 150 joint officers of Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department and Satpol PP swept some illegal parking points around Tanah Abang.

Based on beritajakarta.com observations, the illegal parking raid is in front of Tanah Abang Train Station until Jatibunder area. It went conducive as the vehicles owners have known about it. 

"Today, we seized 30 motorcycles using 2 Satpol PP's trucks. There is no more unplugging tire valves, as it did not give deterrent effect," said Head of Supervision and Controlling Section for Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, Bona Tongam Siregar, Monday (8/31). 

Parking Illegally, 3 Vehicles Netted

Another raid, Siregar explains, was also intensified in Thamrin City that often crowded by two-wheeled vehicles parking on the sidewalks. 

Head of Kampung Bali Urban Village, Herman told the owners of shopping center and shop house around the location have repeatedly been warned not to direct vehicles parking on the sidewalk. But they ignored it.

"We have repeatedly warned them, but they want something practical. Whereas it could cause jam and disrupt the road users' access," he expressed.
