Tuti Kurnia, North Jakarta Head Sub-dept. of Energy and Industry, said the recruitment was her side initiative. Mostly the residents complained about the late repair.

"It is hoped the PPI workers could speed the street light repair," she said, Monday (9/14).
According to her, the recruitment was already started in last August. Now, the workers are being trained especially for electricity.
"The training may give them fast working but less accident," she added. Later on, the workers will be placed in each urban village offices.
She hoped the PPI workers could be managed by Jakarta Provincial Government since tens of PPI workers are not enough to handle the problem fully.
Zainatu Holidah (18), one of PPI workers, admitted that she is happy with the chance given by the agency.
"There is no problem with the electricity knowledge since the training teaches us everything," she said.
