As many as 200 troubled buildings in West Jakarta are targeted to be demolished.

"Since January until September 16, 2015, 117 buildings spread in 8 sub-districts were demolished," said Head of West Jakarta Spatial Planning Sub-Department, Fajar, Thursday (9/17).

10 Semi-Permanent Buildings in Sukapura Demolished

He told, those buildings which consist of settlement and non-settlement were demolished due to violating building permit and designation.

"For instance, a house that misused as shop house, then house that supposed to be built 3 stories yet has 4 stories or more. There are also buildings which violate Building Boundary line (GSB) or built on green belt," he told.

However, the demolishment was not conducted for a whole.

"Demolishment is only conducted against the building object violating. For example, the building that supposed to be built 3 stories yet has 4 stories then the 4th story would be demolished. Except for building which is built on green belt, the whole building would be demolished," he explained.
