Trash Volume in W. Jakarta Reached 1,574 Tons a Day

Trash volume in 8 sub-districts of West Jakarta reached 1,574 tons a day. From the total amount, Tambora Sub-District  became the largest contributor.

Head of West Jakarta Cleanliness Sub-Department, Sarifudin said the trash volume in Tambora currently range 269 tons per day. As concerning the dense population in Tambora made the area produce the highest trash-producing.

Trash Volume in N. Jakarta Increased By 2 Percent

"Trash volume in Tambora is equal to one regency in Central Java. In Pati, trash volume merely about 210 tons a day," he expressed, Wednesday (9/23).

Anticipating trash heaping, his party will implement waste management, including waste transport timely.

"We also seek to reduce trash from the source that is expected from residents. so that trash transport to the Bantar Gebang could be reduced," he disclosed.
