Dredging of Rawa Kendal Reservoir Stagnated

The dredging of Rawa Kendal Reservoir in RW 08, Rorotan Urban Village, Cilincing, will be completed.

And the rest 28 hectares are still owned by the locals which is going to be acquired

Cilincing Sub-District Head, Nana Hendriana explained the dredging is stagnant as there are still residents occupy the area.

"So, the land as long as 22 hectares has been dredged as it's local administration's property. And the rest 28 hectares are still owned by the locals which is going to be acquired ," she stated, Monday (10/5).

She uttered, currently, North Jakarta Administration keeps trying to negotiate with the locals thus the dredging could be done immediately.

"There are about 20 buildings there. The government's team has held socialization. Hopefully, they could negotiate the price with the locals," she disclosed.

If all is done, she continued, it could be conducted early November. She hopes, the area could be free from flood when rainy season comes.

"Hopefully, the price is agreeable. And residents would also be free from flood.
