Due to covering street lights, tens of trees along Jalan Balai Pustaka, Utan Kayu Urban Village, Matraman Sub-District, East Jakarta, pruned.

Matraman Sub-District Head, Hari Nugroho stated local residents complained about those trees covering the lights.
"Besides that, they also worried the branches would be broken and falling onto them. So, the trees have been pruned since yesterday," he stated.
The pruning had been conducted since last Wednesday (10/7) until Thursday (10/8).
"There are 49 trees pruned. The last tree is nearby SMP 7," he uttered.
As many as 20 joint officers from East Jakarta Parks and Cemeteries Sub-Department and Kayu Utara PPSU officers were involved in the action.
"We're prioritizing lush leaves, branches," he explained.
