Februari 2016, DKI Baru Bisa Putus Kontrak PT GTJ

Februari 2016, No Contract Between City-PT GTJ

The takeover of waste management in Bantar Gebang Landfill, Bekasi from PT Godang Tua Jaya can be done in February 2016. This is because there is a long process needed about 105 days to process warning letter (SP) 1 to 3.

The contract ends in February 2016, because we need 105 days to send warning letter to PT Godang Tua Jaya

The contract ends in February 2016, because we need 105 days to send warning letter to PT Godang Tua Jaya,” said Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T Purnama, at City Hall, Thursday (11/12).

Basuki ensures to take over waste management in Bantar Gebang after stopping contract with the company. "We’ll certainly take over it," he uttered.

Trash Transport to Bantar Gebang Can Already Be Done

He continued, the takeover seems so easy due to the land used is City Administration’s asset. "It's become easy because the land belongs to us," he told.

One of the reasons why contract stopped is PT GJT did breach of contract where they do not provide facility with investment worth Rp 700 billion in 2011.

Another reason is because addendum contract is only done with Department Head. Whereas in the initial contract was signed by Jakarta Governor. Not only that, the BPK findings mentions that the company did cheating on dump car scales.
