North Lighthouse Tower belongs to Transportation Ministry located in Sebira Island, Harapan Island Urban Village, Seribu Utara Islands needs improvement.
Sebira Islands Visitors Given Certificate
Lighthouse Keeper, Djoko Darmaji said the whole lighthouse building is being painted to avoid thinning.
“The painting is conducted in and outside of the lighthouse building, considering it never painted for five years,” he told, Saturday (11/21).
Darmaji furthered the building has become tourist attraction in Sebira Island as it has great historical value. Therefore, his side has asked Transportation Ministry to conduct renovation.
“We do this to attract more visitors,” he expressed.
He added for the lamps, have undergone several innovations, ranging from revolving lamp (rotating), now replaced by vega lamp (flashing). And next year, will be restored to its original.
