Beware of Sinkhole on Ancol Alternative Road

Riders passing on alternative road in front of Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, North Jakarta towards Tanjung Priok and Kemayoran must beware. Because, right at the west gate of Ancol, there is sinkhole with diameter about 2x2 square meter. 

We have also coordinated with the department side and in the near future it will be repaired

Beritajakarta.com observation, the sinkhole is covered with conblock stones. Allegedly, the road was collapsed as it was covered with channel cement which could not hold the load of vehicles passing. Around the sinkhole then installed with iron fence as high as 1 meter as anticipation. 

226 Damaged Roads Repaired

Irwan (42), one of the gate counter staffs, stated that the sinkhole has been going for a week. "Probably the concrete cement of the channel cover could not hold vehicles load," he explained, Wednesday (11/25) 

Head of North Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-Department uttered that his side has known about the matter. "We did know about it. We have also coordinated with the department side and in the near future it will be repaired," he uttered.
