Some Regional Working Units (UKPD) in Seribu Islands will be rationalized and handed over directly to the Regency Administration. It will be effectively applied on the upcoming January 1, 2016.

Seribu Islands Governance Assistant, Eko Suroyo stated that currently his side is preparing data and requirements for the streamlining and transition process. And in accordance with Gubernatorial Regulation No. 241, 245 and 249 on Work Organization (OTK) of Regency, Sub-District, and Urban Village, some UKPD functions will be diverted.
"There will be 9 UKPDs whose functions diverted to regency, 2 sub-districts and 2 urban villages," he explained, Wednesday (12/23).
