North Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security Sub-dept did sudden inspection in five traditional markets in North Jakarta.
Sidak was conducted by 60 joint personnel of Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security Sub-dept and police. They target Koja Baru, Tugu, Lontar, Sindang and Rawa Badak markets. They found fish and tofu containing formalin from Koja Baru and Lontar markets.
Formalined Foods Detected in Central Jakarta"The peddlers who sell formalined food will be trained and make a statement form not to repeat the action. If they do the same thing, we will send them to the police," said North Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security Sub-dept Head, Agung Priambodo, Wednesday (3/2).
His sub-dept will continue to conduct sidak in other markets routinely, including modern market.
