Various Events Ready to Brigthen Up City's 489th Anniversary

The declaration of the city's 489th anniversary will take place in Zone A, Setu Babakan Kampung Betawi (Betawi village), Srengseng Sawah, Jagakarsa, which falls on Saturday (5/28).

Bazaars will be filled with 100 booths, each of the 25 people are coordinated by urban village and UPT heads

Besides displaying various entertainments and Betawi arts, as many as 100 bazaars of small and medium enterprises will also enliven the event.

Head of Jakarta Governance Bureau, Bayu Meghantara disclosed the declaration activities will be started since 10 AM-9 PM. A series of activities and events will enliven the city anniversary, such as PTSP service, culinary festival, art and culture performance, so on.

Such declaration is slated to be attended by Jakarta Vice Governor, mayors and regents. As planned, Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnama would conduct a handover of city's anniversary logo to the mayor and regent. It is also to signify the start of a series of city's anniversary celebration in every city and districts.

"Declaration will be executed at 4 PM. All momentum will be here (Setu Babakan)," he stated, Thursday (5/26).

He disclosed, before 1 PM, there will be a communal work around the declaration site, precisely at RT 13/08. It involves all elements and locals, including urban village and sub-district apparatuses.

"Bazaars will be filled with 100 booths, each of the 25 people are coordinated by urban village and UPT heads. The rest are guided vendors from Jakarta Industry and Energy and KUMKMP dept," he stated.

He added, the bazaar will present culinary product and superior non-culinary.
